In August 2016, 50Hertz will move into its new headquarters in Berlin with 650 employees.
The new building, designed in an ecological and sustainable way, comprises 13 floors above ground and one below ground. The sound-absorbing acoustic lamella ceiling covers a total area of approx. 12,000 sqm. The material is suitable for DGNB certification. Due to the large, free cross-section of the ceiling to the raw ceiling, air-conditioning systems, cooling sails and fire protection systems can work in secret. The good conductivity of the material supports the function of the cooling sails directly above it, which are installed in the peripheral areas of the room above the lamella system. The lamellas are equipped with a profile-filling absorbing fleece and are micro-perforated. This creates pleasant acoustics throughout the room. The linear structure impresses with its precise lines and gives the rooms a generous appearance.
The luminaires specially developed for this ceiling system are ideally suited for office workplaces. Due to their low installation height, they can run below the mounting rail. This simplifies the installation, as the mounting rails do not have to be interrupted.
